Ride To Remember 2016
Following previous rides in WA and CA, for the third straight year The Team Jesse Foundation will “Ride to Remember” United States military personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. This year’s 200 mile, 3-day bicycle ride will be from Portland, Oregon to Gearhart, Oregon. The four cyclists participating in this event are Board members Kevin Mincio and Kevin Collins and longtime friends and Team members Mark Larson and Rob Shields. We will honor one fallen soldier each day, passing through communities, visiting family members and gravesites along the way. This year we will remember:
- Wed, 7/27: Army PFC Brett Andre Walton, 37, Portland, OR. KIA 4/9/2007, Bagdad, Iraq
- Thurs, 7/28: Army PFC Ken W. Leisten, 20, Cornelius, OR. KIA 7/28/2004, Taji, Iraq
- Fri, 7/29: Army PFC Brian A. Browning, 20, Astoria, OR. KIA 2/6/2007, Bagdad, Iraq
Cyclists are paying all their own costs for travel, lodging and food. 100% of all donations will fund our mission of providing education and support for families of fallen soldiers.
